- Investment in agricultural land is not permitted.
- Clearance from Reserve Bank of India is necessary to invest or take back any profit from investment.

- According to the Kerala Land Reforms Act, a person of a family can hold upto a maximum of 10 standard acres within the state of Kerala.

Documents Required for Title Deed Scrutiny |
- The Title Deed in the name of owner.
- Copies of deeds for the last 20 years.
- Land Tax paid receipt from the village office.
- Non-Encumbrance Certificate for the past 31 years.
- Sketch of the plot obtained from village office mentioning the survey number.
- Building permit and approved plan from local authorities like Corporation, Municipalities, Panchayats etc. incase the property is a building.
- Verification about the original deeds. (Specifically check whether it is pledged with some bank or other financial institutions for the purpose of a bank.)
